Access to Quality Healthcare

We are investing in healthcare infrastructure to build healthier futures for the families of the Birim North district.

Healthcare professionals

Providing essential
healthcare access.

Health outcomes should not depend on distance, income or geography. Yet frontline health facilities in underserved communities can struggle with limited equipment and logistics, while families may lack adequate access to health information and preventative care. Our health strategy focuses on strengthening the services and knowledge communities need to live healthier lives.

Maternal & Child Health

Helping mothers begin their journey with better support.

Pregnancy, childbirth and early childhood are among the most important periods in a family's life. Our strategy seeks to strengthen maternal and child health through improved education, better-equipped maternity facilities, community screening and stronger health-worker capacity.

Pregnancy School Initiative: The planned Pregnancy School Initiative will provide regular maternal-health classes covering issues such as antenatal care, safe delivery, postnatal health and prevention.

Our 2030 Ambitions:

  • Reaching 500 women every year through Pregnancy School.
  • Training 70 health workers in safe delivery, maternal care and prevention.
  • Upgrading maternity facilities.
  • Conducting annual community health screenings covering maternal health, child health and non-communicable diseases.

Strengthening CHPS Compounds

Stronger frontline facilities. Stronger communities.

For many rural families, a CHPS compound is their closest point of contact with Ghana's healthcare system. When these facilities lack basic equipment or reliable logistics, entire communities feel the consequences. Our strategy seeks to strengthen frontline healthcare by supporting CHPS compounds with essential equipment and outreach resources.

We also aim to encourage stronger community ownership through local health committees and annual service-performance monitoring.

Our 2030 Target:

Support 7 CHPS compounds with items such as:

  • Refrigeration
  • HB machines
  • Glucometers
  • Examination beds
  • Outreach kits
  • Improved transport & logistics

Menstrual Health

Dignity should never be a barrier to education.

For some adolescent girls, menstruation can mean missed classes, stigma and anxiety because safe menstrual products, accurate information or supportive environments are unavailable. We want to change that.

Our approach combines education, sustainable menstrual products and engagement with parents, teachers and communities. The goal is not simply to distribute products. It is to help girls remain healthy, confident and present in school.

Our 2030 Ambitions:

  • Menstrual hygiene education in 10 schools annually.
  • Reusable menstrual products piloted for 1,000 girls.
  • Partnerships supporting sustainable supply.
  • 5 community destigmatisation campaigns.
  • Integration of menstrual health into wider school-health initiatives.
